1) This is a study hall. Therefore, it will be quiet and you will be working on something quietly. If you do not have any homework, bring a book to read. You need to bring your materials to study hall since there are no locker passes (as stated in the Dragon Handbook). Disrupting others is unacceptable and will result in loss of pass privileges and / or detention.
2) Students are expected to remain in their assigned seat during study hall.
3) If you need to see a teacher or the counselor during study hall, you need to bring the pass with you to study hall, signed by the teacher. You may not leave study hall to go get a pass.
4) Only 2 restroom passes per quarter.
5) Every time you leave or return to study hall you must sign in or out on the “sign-out sheets” in the front of the room. Failure to sign in or out will result in loss of pass privileges.
6) Five 20 minute media center passes will be issued halfway through the period. You must have all assignments handed in, be passing all your classes, and work for the first half of the period to be eligible for media center passes. (Going to the media center is a privilege, so do not abuse the procedures or you will lose this privilege.) Students who have passes from another teacher may sign out at the beginning of the period after attendance is taken.
7) No cards, games, or other items mentioned in the Dragon Handbook are allowed.
8) Tardiness will result in loss of pass privileges, and the third tardy will result in detention.
9) This is a math classroom and there may be projects set up or materials ready for students to use in other periods of the day. You need to respect the property of the other teachers and students who use this room. This includes, but is not limited to, supplies in and on the tables and desks, the computers, and any object that does not directly belong to you.
10) At the beginning of each week you will meet with Mr. Brever to look at your academic progress in your classes. At this time we will determine if you are eligible for media center or computer lab passes for that week based on grades and assignment completion.
12) If procedures and expectations are not followed you will be given a warning and a reminder of the expectation for the study hall. If you continue to not follow the study hall procedures, you may have your assigned seat changed, lose pass privileges, have a conference with Mr. Brever, be removed from class, and/or be assigned lunchtime detention.
13) Remember – This is a STUDY HALL and you are expected to STUDY and do your work here.
